I have found that group work is great for some class and not so great for others. My higher achieving classes do it great. For example my Honor's World History does it all the time and does it great! Many times they stay on task and complete great work with very minimal teacher interaction. However when ever I try to do it with my lower achieving classes it fails, and many times fails misserably. It isn't fair to always exclude them and there are times that I let them do group work but it has to be planned well and I find myself running all over the room answering questions and making sure they stay on task.
