I really felt that I was getting used to being a teacher this week. For some reason everything just seemed to “click.” I did however experience a problem this week, that being WesTest. We found out late last week that we where going to have to administer WesTest. It was nice in that I was able to catch up on a lot of work but it was frustrating on the lesson planning end. I did not want to get my classes behind so I found it interesting trying to manipulate the plans to prevent that. I managed to keep all of the classes on schedule. The only class that was truly an issue was my honors World History. I saw them all week and didn’t see any of my other World History Classes. What I ended up doing was continuing the previous chapter. I had them create an Egyptian Museum Exhibit. They spent the week researching and creating their exhibit. They had to make the object and then write a 75 word summary about it. THE STUDENTS BLEW EVERY EXPECTATION I HAD OUT OF THE WATER. I was astonished at how well they did. Currently they are on display in the library for everyone in school to see.
